The girls have 8 cousins on their Dad's side! This year, we decided to go the homemade route for their gifts. They had so much fun brainstorming and creating. We searched Pinterest a lot and found some awesome ideas.
We made braided t-shirt headbands, made from old t-shirts, a pony tail holder and some hot glue. Lilah couldn't quite get the braid, so Vivianne did most of the work on those.
We made lip gloss which turned out to be so fun. It's made from coconut oil and un-petroleum jelly. We flavored it with crystal light (which we already had in the cupboard, but you could use KoolAid as well).
We also tucked in a rainbow loom bracelet for each girl and some candy.
We did attempt to make bath bombs...but they didn't turn out, so they didn't make it into the gift bags. But, I think we figured out what we did wrong, so the next time we make them, hopefully they will turn out ;-) They smelled so good!!
The gift making was spread out over several weekends. It ended up taking more time than I had anticipated, but it was so much fun. The girl's were so proud of what they created!
