'Tis the Season
Take the time to reflect and give thanks for the healthy children in your life…then give to those children that are not by donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
And she keeps on a growin'
Lilah’s two month visit to the doctor went great. She weighed in at 10 pounds, 10 1/2 ounces (25-50th percentile), was 22 inches long (25th percentile) and her head measured 39 centimeters (50th percentile).
We are still waiting on her to sleep through the night…I think we are pretty close though. We are trying the pacifier trick when she wakes in the middle of the night and it has been working for the most part, but she’s still an early riser, likes to be our 4-5:30 am wake up call :-) We need to work on that with her!
She has been a really great, easy baby. We are so lucky! She loves her baths and being naked, which continues to run in the family ;-) She would rather suck on her hands than her nuk, she’s close to figuring out that she’s got a thumb in there somewhere. I don’t think she’s ever cried for more than a few minutes and rarely even does that, we are pretty lucky in that she seems to be content most of the time. We nicknamed her, Squeak, because of the little noises she’ll make. The swing can and will put her to sleep at any given moment. She’s a kicker, loves to be on the floor and kick, kick, kick! She’s very alert and loves to watch everything that’s going on around her, especially her big sister! If her eyes could talk, I think they would be saying, “Can I play too?”

It's moments like this that make having two so much fun!
Lilah loves to watch Vivianne! She smiles when Vivianne pays her even the slightest bit of attention :-) I keep telling Vivianne that when Lilah gets bigger she will be able to play with her all the time. The other day Vivianne said, “Oooo, I can’t wait to play tea party with her!” (And I’m thinking, yea, me too.)
Hi! What's your name?
This is Vivianne’s new phrase that she asks everyone we pass by or meet WHEREVER we go! At first it was kind of cute, now not so much, as it takes forever to get anywhere! Ha!
And it begins...
Me: Who loves you?
Vivianne: Mommy and Daddy
Me: Yes, Mommy and Papa love you!
Vivianne: No, it’s Daddy.
Me: Oh, you want to call Papa, Daddy?
Vivianne: Yes, that’s what all the other kids call them (“them” meaning their Dads).
Me: Ok, sure.
I don’t know why but that conversation made me choke up a bit. It made me realize yet, again, how grown up she is getting…already caring about being like everyone else :-(
First Dentist Appointment
I took Vivianne to the dentist last week for the first time. She did great! Now all she wants to do is brush her teeth with her new toothpaste and toothbrush they gave her.
Here she is showing off her pearly whites!

Look how big I am getting!
I put Lilah in the highchair today for the first time. I tucked some blankets around her so she wouldn’t slide around. I think she liked being able to sit up and be up higher off the ground.
